Bordering meadows where sheep and cows graze, our nine highly individual cottages provide a perfect base for those seeking a countryside setting whilst still being only a short walk to the centre of the lovely old market town. Pickering's attractions include the famous North York Moors steam railway, a historic 12th century castle, Victorian museum and indoor swimming pool as well as excellent shops, market, pubs and restaurants selling superb local produce.
Our traditional stone self-catering holiday cottages are set around a peaceful courtyard and fountain with adjoining gardens. They are spacious and retain much of their original rustic character with open beamed ceilings, traditional stone fireplaces and pan tile roofs so typical of the area. Superbly equipped kitchens mean our cottages are a home away from home and they are tastefully decorated to ensure your comfort and relaxation. Our cottages sleep from 2 to 8 so cater for most needs. We have both single and double story cottages, all with fitted kitchens, bathrooms, sitting rooms and parking.
We have a large enclosed garden with garden furniture and a children’s playground. There is have a Garden House with deck area and barbecue, suitable for informal dining for up to 14 people and available for group parties. Facilities include a welcome tea tray, Flat screen TV/ video/ DVD player with video library, dab Radio/CD player, laundry and drying facilities, indoor and outdoor games, daily newspapers, milk deliveries and bike hire.
We have thought about what might help your holiday go smoothly so if you pre-plan you can get the groceries delivered, the freezer stocked up with freshly prepared meals and arrange for a fully catered meal served to you in your own cottage without lifting a finger. There is also a listening and baby-sitting service available should you want to check out one of the pubs nearby.
